Professional Gel Polish Diploma course - 36 CPD points

During our Manicure course you will learn:

  • Anatomy and Physiology 
  • Natural nail health
  • Nail filing (correct techniques to achieve the right look for the client).
  • Luxury Hand Massage.
  • Application of lotions and creams to aid in good hand/nail/skincare.
  • Nail painting techniques.
  • Health and hygiene of all aspects of the treatment.
  • Standard & Luxury Manicure treatments.
  • Laws & Regulations
  • Standards in Hygiene
  • Professional ethics
  • Professional consultation techniques

    What do I need to bring?

    Course theory and practical

    After you have completed the theory section of the course over the 10 weeks and answered the evaluation questions you will be assessed on your knowledge and practical elements of the treatment. Week 9 you will be introduced to other courses available and have the option to trial aspects of the treatment. Week 10 will be your final assessment and a model will be required to attend. 

     If you pass the course your certificate may be available to you or sent to you from our head office within 14 days of completing your course and you will be able to gain insurance with The Beauty Guild and other insurance providers that accept Beauty Guild Accredited certificates.

    Qualification: Nailchemy Academy Diploma.  This Beauty Guild Accredited qualification will enable you to obtain public liability insurance upon successful completion of the course.

    Course duration:

    • 30 hours total - 24 hours of theory and practical training. 3 hours introduction to other courses available and 3 hours final practical assessment. A total of 10 weeks from 6pm until 9pm. 
    • tutor led practical training. The Practical training evenings will consist of dedicated tutor time on the theory of the course and a knowledge assessment based on self-study theory learning along with a chance to learn the required techniques and perform treatments.

    Please note that the number of theory hours required to complete this course as stated above is provided as a guideline only. The actual number of theory hours required will vary depending on the speed at which you learn.

    Course details

    This course will teach you the theoretical and practical methods required to carry out a Manicure Treatment and  Gel Polish Treatment. During your course, we will be using Kaeso Manicure products and  Nailchemy Gel Polish including Builder Gel. 

    As tutors, we aim to provide you with all the knowledge needed to work in the beauty industry safely and with confidence.

    By the end of this course, you (the student) will be able to:

    • Understand laws, acts and regulations in relation to being a Nail Technician.
    • Maintain safe and effective methods of working when delivering a Manicure and Gel polish Treatment
    • Explain the anatomy, physiology and pathologies related to your chosen therapy.
    • Consult, plan and prepare for treatments with clients.
    • Perform a manicure treatment complete with Nail Polish application.
    • Perform a Gel Polish treatment
    • Provide aftercare advice
