Dermatological Testing

Dermatological Testing

What does it mean?

You'll often see the term "dermatologically tested" on our HEMA-Free gel polish product pages and in some of our advertising. We wanted to explain what that means and why we chose to undertake this testing.

At Nailchemy, we prioritise the safety and satisfaction of our customers, which is why we go the extra mile to ensure that our products are not only effective but also as safe as they can be, even though gel polish is not intended for direct skin application. Our HEMA-Free gel polish formula undergoes rigorous dermatological testing by independent experts to ensure it is formulated in the best way and has a much lower risk of causing any reactions.

Aligned with the Highest Standards

Aligned with the EU-approved Cosmetics Europe standard, often considered the "Gold Standard" of cosmetic safety, our Hema-Free gel polish has been subjected to thorough analysis by independent experts to uphold the highest standards of quality and safety offering an unparalleled level of assurance to our customers.

Our range of dermatologically tested HEMA-free gel polish caters to all, providing confidence that these products could be the perfect fit for your needs.

Furthermore, in our nearly 7 years of trading, we have not received any formal reports of allergies or adverse reactions to our products. This speaks volumes about the effectiveness and safety of our formulations, providing further confidence to our customers.

Skin Compatibility Testing

In a recent human Skin Compatibility Test which assesses the compatibility of our HEMA Free gel polish formula with various skin types, volunteers without documented oversensitivity or a history of adverse reactions to its ingredients participated.

The results were conclusive: no irritations or allergic reactions were observed among the test group. This reaffirms that our product meets the stringent requirements of nail compatibility testing, further highlighting our commitment to excellence in formulation and safety.

Important Considerations

However, it's important to note that no amount of testing can be a 100% guarantee that a reaction won't occur, we have taken every step possible to ensure the risks are reduced as much as possible.

Gel polish is a formula of chemicals, and when used properly, it should not cause issues, however, there is always a chance that a reaction may occur due to the main ingredients being acrylates. Additionally, anyone can become allergic to anything at any time, so professionals must continue to be vigilant about their safety and that of their clients at all times.
