During our Manicure course you will learn:
- Anatomy and Physiology
- Natural nail health
- Nail filing (correct techniques to achieve the right look for the client).
- Luxury Hand Massage.
- Application of lotions and creams to aid in good hand/nail/skincare.
- Nail painting techniques.
- Health and hygiene of all aspects of the treatment.
- Standard & Luxury Manicure treatments.
- Laws & Regulations
- Standards in Hygiene
- Professional ethics
- Professional consultation techniques
What do I need to bring?

Course theory and practical
After you have completed the theory section of the course and answered the evaluation questions you will be assessed on your knowledge and practical elements of the treatment.
If you pass the course your certificate may be available to you or sent to you from our head office within 14 days of completing your course and you will be able to gain insurance with The Beauty Guild and other insurance providers that accept Beauty Guild Accredited certificates.
Qualification: Nailchemy Academy Diploma. This Beauty Guild Accredited qualification will enable you to obtain public liability insurance upon successful completion of the course.
Course duration:
- 3 days of training and 1 day practical assessment is required.
Please note that the number of theory hours required to complete this course as stated above is provided as a guideline only. The actual number of theory hours required will vary depending on the speed at which you learn.

Course details
This course will teach you the theoretical and practical methods required to carry out a Manicure Treatment and Gel Polish Treatment.
As tutors, we aim to provide you with all the knowledge needed to work in the beauty industry safely and with confidence.

By the end of this course, you (the student) will be able to:
- Understand laws, acts and regulations in relation to being a Nail Technician.
- Maintain safe and effective methods of working when delivering a Manicure and Gel polish Treatment
- Explain the anatomy, physiology and pathologies related to your chosen therapy.
- Consult, plan and prepare for treatments with clients.
- Perform a manicure treatment complete with Nail Polish application.
- Perform a Gel Polish treatment
- Provide aftercare advice

What do I need to do next?

What happens if I Fail the course?
If you do fail the course based on your practical assessment you can choose to re-sit the assessment within 2 weeks of your initial assessment date. There is a re-sit fee of £30 per hour to be paid direct to your tutor.
What happens after the course?
Once you are a fully qualified practitioner and you have gained the correct insurance we suggest.
- You practice your therapy techniques upon family and friends until you become confident enough to take on your first client.

- You can also return to us for practical refresher sessions or advanced workshops along with other skill-building courses.
*MINIMUM NUMBER OF 2 STUDENTS ENROLLED FOR THE COURSE TO RUN. IF BOOKED CAN WAIT FOR AN ALTERNATIVE DATE OR FOR 1-2-1 TRAINING THERE IS AN ADDITIONAL FEE OF £100*
