Course details: Professional Pedicure Diploma course (24 CPD points)

Qualification: Nailchemy Academy Diploma. This Beauty Guild Accredited qualification will enable you to obtain public liability insurance upon successful completion of the course.
Course Cost: £250.00 - £100.00 non refundable deposit to be paid upon booking. The remaining balance of £150.00 is to be paid direct to your educator. All course deposits quoted exclude VAT.
Course duration:
- 8 hours of self-study time.
- 2-day tutor lead practical training. The Practical training days will consist of dedicated tutor time on the theory aspect of the course and a knowledge assessment based on self-study theory learning along with a chance to learn the required techniques and perform treatments.
Please note that the number of theory hours required to complete this course as stated above is provided as a guideline only. The actual number of theory hours required will vary depending on the speed at which you learn.

What is a Pedicure?
The word "Pedicure" comes from the Latin "Ped" meaning foot and "Cura" meaning cure. Throughout history nail care/ foot care has always been prominent across many cultures. Pedicures have become a very popular treatment in the beauty industry and through this course, you will learn how to provide an industry-standard pedicure treatment.
During our pedicure course you will learn at:
- Anatomy, physiology and pathologies relating to a pedicure treatment.
- Hard skin removal.
- Correct toenail cutting procedures.
- Massage.
- Application of lotions and creams to aid in good foot care.
- Nail painting techniques.
- Health and hygiene of all aspects of the treatment.
- Basic, medium and luxury pedicure treatments.
- Laws and regulations relative to the treatment
- Identifying contra-actions and contraindications relative to a pedicure treatment.
- Professional consultation techniques
- Professional aftercare advice

What do I need to bring to the practical training day?
- Your training manual.
- Your model.
- A packed lunch and a drink, although if you are training at Nailchemy HQ, then there are refreshments available and shops nearby.
Course theory and practical
After you have completed the theory section of the course and answered the evaluation questions you need to ensure you bring these with you on the practical training day and give them to your tutor for marking.
At the practical session, you will work through a whole treatment session from set-up to aftercare and be assessed on your work. If you pass the course your certificate will be sent to you from our head office with 14 days of completing your course and you will be able to gain insurance with The Beauty Guild and other insurance providers that accept Beauty Guild Accredited certificates.
What do I need to do next?
If you would like to enrol onto one of our courses:
- Add the course to your basket and checkout to make your deposit payment.
- We will then be in touch with you via email to confirm your course and to arrange dates etc. The remaining balance of £120.00 is to be paid direct to your educator.
- You will need to complete our course application form (attached to your confirmation email) so that we can enrol you onto your chosen course.
- Once enrolled we will be in touch to confirm the course date/time and to request final payment for the course.

What happens on the day of the practical training?
On the day of your practical training, you will need to attend one of our venues where you will be taught all the techniques required for this therapy. Our classes are friendly and very informative. You will need to bring a model with you to work on. Your client will need to have a consultation carried out before the training to ensure they do not have any contra-indications.
What happens if I Fail the course?
If you do fail the course based on your practical assessment you can choose to re-sit the assessment within 2 weeks of your initial assessment date. There is a re-sit fee of £30 per hour to be paid direct to your tutor.

- Class sizes are small so you get more individual attention from your tutor.
What happens after the course?
Once you are a fully qualified practitioner and you have gained the correct insurance we suggest.
- You practice your therapy techniques upon family and friends until you become confident enough to take on your first client.

Returns
Our returns policy lasts 30 days from the day of receipt of your products.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
Non-returnable items:
- Opened and used products cannot be returned unless they are faulty.
- Print on demand items are created for you when you order and are non-refundable. See POD section below for more details.
- Downloadable software products
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable)
- Any item not in its original condition is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
- Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery
Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.
Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at info@nailchemy.co.uk and send your item to Unit E, Thistle Park, Crossways Road, Bridgwater Somerset TA6 6LS UK.
Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you. If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.
Print-on-demand products
All Print-on-demand products are unique and produced only once ordered. This also means that returns and exchanges are not supported if you ordered the wrong size, colour, or simply changed your mind.
However, in case of a damaged product or a manufacturing error, we offer a free replacement or a refund if you contact us within 30 days of product delivery. Please get in touch with our team by email on support@nailchemy.co.uk and provide a clear photo showing the issue.
If we need you to return your print-on-demand product we will supply the shipping details at this time.

Shipping
To return your product, you should mail your product to:

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
If you are shipping an item over £75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
